猫型スマートフォン

The Cat-Shaped Smartphone  (2011)

Now, our devices such as smartphones and tablets, all of the information equipments become just a plate. There is no difference in shape.
This work has resisted such a situation, as well as the shape of the cat type smartphone with touch apps and the cries out, cat eyes glow even more.
I aimed to strongly work interactions affect human psychology such as familiarity and surprise.
Its materials are clay, marbles, electronic parts, and a smartphone.
This project was exhibited at Make Tokyo Meeting 07 in 2011.

 

猫の形をしたスマートフォンです。
現在、スマートフォンやタブレット端末など、情報機器はどれも板状になり、サイズを除けば形状の差はほとんどありません。この作品はそのような現状に一石を投じるべく、スマートフォンの形状を猫型にすると共に、触れると鳴き声を発する専用アプリを搭載、さらに猫の眼も光ります。
驚きや親しみなど、人間の心理に強く作用するインタラクション作品を目指しました。
材料は樹脂粘土、ビー玉、電子パーツ、スマートフォンです。
本作品は、2011年に開催されたMTM07にて展示・実演しました。
